Santander México, for 16 years, has directed many of its efforts to supporting entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs in the country, in their different stages.

Santander México promotes education and entrepreneurship
Santander México , through Santander Universities and its Higher Education Support Plan, generates projects that support the development of universities, university students and entrepreneurs in the country, including scholarships, digital transformation programs, collaborative projects and product development and financial services for university students.

In Mexico we have been supporting entrepreneurship for more than 16 years and this arises because it is part of our mission to contribute to the progress of people and companies. It made a lot of sense to us that it was not only a matter of supporting young people to enter the labor market, but also promoting their upskilling and re- skilling , and lifelong learning, as well as supporting young people from a very early stage to start generating your own companies.
Santander X Mexico Award
In an interview, Cherbowski points out that among many of the actions that the Bank has to support entrepreneurship, is the Santander Award, which was previously known as the Santander Award for Business Innovation and which in recent years evolved into the Santander X Mexico Award. .
In 2017 at a global level, thanks to the commitment that Santander has to entrepreneurship, all the efforts of the different countries in which the Bank has a presence were added to the Santander X platform, all with the aim of giving it a home and a centralization node for all these initiatives. Santander X is a global community in which entrepreneurs can collaborate, share ideas and knowledge, and even attract investment.
From its inception, the Santander Prize had the objective of promoting entrepreneurship: “we began with a special focus on university entrepreneurship and at that time it was thought that only in that early stage of incubation of ideas or projects was training and structure needed, But throughout these years and with the experience of working with thousands of entrepreneurs and allies of the entrepreneurship ecosystem, we have realized that the constant training of entrepreneurs at any level is essential for the benefit mainly of their ventures and their companies ,” comments Cherbowski.
Now, with the most recent edition of the Santander Award, what the Bank seeks is to support entrepreneurial projects and startups and to do so, interested parties can register in two categories: Launch and Accelerate.
