Road safety plays a key role in preventing traffic accidents and making cities safe for both pedestrians and drivers. Furthermore, it is one of the pillars to achieve compliance with goal 11 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which precisely seeks to build more inclusive, safe and resilient cities.
In Mexico, there are no truly effective programs Chile Mobile Number List that help promote road safety, and this encourages the country to occupy seventh place worldwide and third in the Latin American region in deaths from road accidents.
To help promote road safety in the country and strengthen the purposes sought with said SDG: Cities and communities, CEMEX , a company dedicated to construction, promoted the "Mission Zero" strategy, we will tell you about it.
Mission zero in favor of road safety
Through the Mission Zero strategy, CEMEX seeks to reduce risks, raise awareness and ensure that people share the roads safely.

Our goal is to achieve a rate of zero fatalities and serious injuries in our operations and the communities in which we operate.
CEMEX
The strategy to promote road safety is focused on 3 pillars:
Appropriate legislation.
Educated users.
Design and infrastructure update.
In them, the company seeks to improve unsafe roads, train public servants and people on mobility issues, as well as strategically communicate the importance of road safety culture.
For CEMEX, health and road safety must be a global priority and this is why its "Mission Zero" strategy will play a fundamental role in promoting road safety in communities.
Protecting a bond and building better cities
Through “Mission Zero,” CEMEX not only seeks to guarantee an increase in road safety, it also takes care of and strengthens the social license that communities grant it to be able to operate where the brand has a presence.
With this strategy, the Mexican multinational dedicated to the construction industry wants to continue building safe streets and roads for all road users. On the other hand, this initiative takes on greater relevance, since it is promoted within the framework of World Road Safety Week.
World Road Safety Week takes place from May 17 to 23 and its main purpose is to call for the 30 km/h limit to be the norm for cities, towns and villages around the world as well as to incorporate measures that allow us to make cities a safe place for all people.
And as part of this commitment to building a better Mexico, CEMEX also supplied 14,196 m3 of hydraulic concrete in the recently inaugurated expansion of Line 3 of the Mexico City Metrobús.
According to the company, since December 2019, when the execution of the project expansion began, a total of 12,646.30 concrete has been applied to the confined lanes where this transportation system now circulates.
The stations were built to provide universal accessibility. They have a ramp for people with disabilities, traffic lights, tactile guidance and tactograms. Its avant-garde design provides an improvement to the urban image of the area and ensures greater road organization.
Alejandro Varés, vice president of Infrastructure and Government of CEMEX México.
This expansion of Metrobús Line 3, which runs more than 20 kilometers along Cuauhtémoc Avenue, will serve almost 100 thousand passengers daily.
And with the support of CEMEX, the new transportation route now has safe crossings, as well as horizontal and vertical signs along the entire perimeter of these stations and their routes.
